In the PhD Teaching Community we are in the process of creating 4 tracks in which we learn about education and ourselves as teachers. We are interested whether you have interest in a certain track or activities in a specific track. Based on all interests of PhD's (gathered from this questionnaire), we will decide what to create/facilitate/build with priority within our PhD Teaching Community and what might further be nice to develop in future with less hurry.
On the website of the PhD Teaching Community (Tab 'Curriculum') you can read all about the four tracks. To summarise these:
1. Secure base track
Weekly check-ins where you can bring in learning questions or problems from practice, learn from and discuss each other's experiences, or otherwise work on your teaching skills.
2. Constructing expertise track
In this track you can subscribe for certain workshops or small courses with preset learning objectives, preparation assignments and 100% active participation in meetings expectation.
3. Coaching and being coached track
In this track you will form a group of peers in which you will learn to coach others and are coached by peers.
4. Innovation track
In this track, we'll form a team of educational innovaters to solve problems and/or develop innovative ideas.
If you are a PhD at VU, please help us to gain insight how we can best facilitate you from our community. You are not obliged to give answers, but every answer you gives helps us immensely. This will only take you 5 minutes, so please send your answers to us!
