About the IncLUsion programme

The IncLUsion programme gives refugees and other eligible students the opportunity to follow courses at Leiden University as non-degree students. Participants can take university level courses across different faculties. In addition to following courses, IncLUsion students can participate in activities such as workshops, social activities and the Language Café.

Please note: IncLUsion is not a degree programme and participation does not lead to a Leiden University degree. Admission to IncLUsion does not guarantee placement in a specific course, as course placement depends on availability, scheduling, academic background and the number of places available to IncLUsion students. IncLUsion is also not a Dutch language programme, although activities such as the Language Café provide opportunities to practice Dutch.

For a small number of students who need it most, IncLUsion may reimburse travel costs of up to €150 per month. However, the amount available for reimbursement is limited and typically ranges between €70 and €120 per month, depending on the student's situation and available funds.
Reimbursement cannot be guaranteed for all students. Priority is given to students who are most in need of financial support.
Some IncLUsion courses may take place in The Hague. This may affect your travel costs.
Important: if you indicate that you are able to pay your own travel costs, you cannot later ask for travel cost reimbursements.
