Senior and junior researchers (especially MA/PhD students and postdocs) are invited to submit abstracts.
We welcome papers that engage with the theme “Food and Ritual” from a wide range of perspectives, including (but not limited to):
- Archaeology, material culture, and bioarchaeology
- Textual, historical, and philological studies
- Art history, iconography, and visual culture
- Comparative and interdisciplinary approaches
Proposals addressing other aspects of Near Eastern studies are also welcome:
the NINO Annual Meeting is intended as a platform for the diversity of research taking place in the Netherlands and beyond.
