Sign Up to Become a Mentor (Buddy)

Thank you for your interest in becoming a buddy in the Humanities Buddy Programme!

Please complete this form to be paired with a group of incoming international Master’s students or Dutch students who are new to Leiden. As a buddy, you’ll play a key role in helping them settle in and participate in fun activities throughout the upcoming semester.

Please note: To join as a buddy, you must be a Master’s student at the Humanities Faculty of Leiden University.

How it Works

We’ll match you with another buddy (mentor), together you will mentor a group of 8-15 students.
You'll take part in two fun, free events each month with your group.
It’s a great way to meet people, build friendships, and enjoy student life in Leiden or The Hague!

Dates

The programme runs from February until June 2026.
The Welcome Event will take place on Friday February 6th 15:00-17:00.
As a Buddy, it is mandatory to attend an Information Session for Buddies. There are two possibilities and the form includes a poll to determine which timeslots you are available.
- Tuesday February 3rd, 14:00-15:00 (Location: Leiden, Arsenaal building, room A0.02)
- Wednesday February 4th, 14:00-15:00 (Location: Leiden, Arsenaal building, room A0.02)
