Thank you for your interest in becoming a (Mentor) Buddy in the Humanities Buddy Programme!

The programme runs during the first semester from September until December.

Please note: To volunteer as a buddy, you must be a Master’s student at the Humanities Faculty of Leiden University.

How it Works

As a (Mentor) Buddy, you'll be paired with a group of incoming international Master’s students or Dutch students who are new to Leiden. We’ll match you with another buddy (mentor), together you will mentor a group of 10-15 students.
You'll take part in two fun, free events each month with your group.
As a (Mentor) Buddy, you’ll also play a key role in helping them settle in. You are one of their point of contact for questions about student life in Leiden. We will give you all the tools, information, and support you need to help new students settle in.
It’s a great way to meet people, build friendships, and enjoy student life in Leiden!
