Dear incoming students,
LUC is working hard on preparing the program and college for your arrival and the upcoming Academic Year 2020-21. As you are aware, due to the measures for prevention of the spread of the coronavirus, the semester will be taught largely online with on-campus elements where possible. You can find more information about this here.
In order to help us with the course planning and housing on campus, please fill out this survey based on what you expect now. We do realize that the situation in most countries is changing on a weekly basis, and that the information you provide here may change accordingly during the summer. Please be aware that this information is just for our planning purposes and you are not committing to anything. All data provided by you will be treated confidentially.
Please make sure you read over this website that outlines the policies, procedures and situation at LUC, prior to filling out this survey. |

TRAVEL, HOUSING & MOVING-IN
The following questions are in regards to your travel, and move to The Hague. Moving-in week has been planned from 10-14 August. In order to abide by the Dutch regulations of mainting a 1.5m distance, we have had to spread out these days and times. You will receive an allocated day and time for your move, based on the floor you will be allocated. Students cannot choose which floor nor apartment they want to live in.
Please refer to the email from housing@luc.leidenuniv.nl that contains this information about your individual check-in date and time.
Due to the timing, we ask you that you make your travel plans to The Hague as flexible as possible, given the situation. Also, as travel restrictions vary per country, nationality and method of travel, it is up to you, the student and family members to keep yourselves updated on these restrictions and how they may apply to you.
You can find the current information and advice from the Dutch government on travel to The Netherlands here.

The allocation of rooms at AvB is done between the housing team and the Student Life Officer, trying to keep a balance of gender, nationalities and year of study across all floors. However, if you have a disability we need to be aware of, that may hinder you from being allocated to a random apartment, we will need to know. Additionally, we would appreciate to know if you belong to a "risk group" for corona infection. Please read here further, to determine whether you can consider yourself " high risk" in this situation. Please refer to this information on our website inform yourself further on the advice for students who may be part of a risk group

Intro Week
The following questions are for us to be able to plan our Intro Week.
Intro Week will take place this year from 17-21 August (please note you should not register for HOP week - the other programme in The Hague for Leiden University students)
Intro Week this year will have most of its modules on-line, especially regarding all the information that students need to know before the start of their studies. There will be opportunity for in-person activities, depending on the situation at the time of Intro Week. You will be allocated to a mentor group for the duration of this week. You will find out more about this later in the summer. |
