The Hewlett Packard Retirement Benefits Plan Trustee invite you to a pre-retirement day

As you approach retirement you have some important decisions to make and may have some key questions to answer.   
  • What are your aspirations for retirement?
  • Do you know how much income you may need?
  • The Hewlett Packard Retirement Benefits Plan (The Plan)  and the State pension can help you to meet your retirement income requirements, but do you know what options are available to you?

To help you to answer these questions and start preparing for your retirement the Trustee has engaged Origen Financial Services, a FCA regulated financial adviser, to provide a pre-retirement seminar to be held on 30th September 2026  and 14th October 2026.


The seminar will be held online, which is known as a webinar.  The seminar will be divided in to two sessions, with a lunch break in the middle.

The Trustee will meet the costs of the pre-retirement webinar.  Attendance is entirely voluntary, however we hope you find it useful to help with your retirement planning.

The seminar will cover the following useful topics:
  • What is retirement and what does retirement mean to you.
  • The State Pension, when will you get it, how much will you receive, and how do you apply.
  • Understanding your HP Retirement Benefits Plan and the various options it provides at retirement
  • Financial Planning for your retirement:
    • Retirement income options
    • Taxation efficiency in retirement
    • The importance of budgeting in retirement
    • Understanding your attitude to investment risk and where you could invest in retirement
    • Savings and investments during retirement
    • What else should you be considering?  Wills, Powers of Attorneyo 
 
  • The Support that is available to help you prepare for retirement.

The seminar will be taking place via MS Teams and we will run from 10:00 – 12:00 and then after lunch from 14:00 – 16:00.
