ESNS Open Call

Dear students (and recent alumni),

January 14-18 all of Groningen celebrates Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS). A conference and festival that highlights (independent) popular music in Europe and beyond. There are some exciting opportunities regarding ESNS coming up. This year, the PCC will host jazz/pop showcases for ESNS in collaboration with InJazz* and Bumacultuur. This is a great way to connect with the music industry (and see some great bands!).

This showcase will take place on January 15 and 16, 2026 and you can be involved in two ways! (deadline for application: december 5!)

Your band as part of the ESNS showcase: our school will host ESNS showcases for jazz-adjacent showcases, supported by Buma cultuur/Injazz. We would like to have two local/student bands to take part in this showcase program. PCC students as well as recent alumni can apply If you would like to be considered for a spot, please fill out this form:

Important:

-Bands have to be in line with the ESNS signature and jazz showcases are pop/club adjacent. This means a pop/indie focus, non-traditional jazz, original (your own!) repertoire (so no covers or standards).

-For recent graduates: graduated not later than 2020.

If you’d like to be involved with producing this event, listen to great music/connect with other Dutch jazz bands, build valuable industry connections connecting with InJazz, organising/marketing/media/publishing/copyrights and you’re available for 3 or 4 meetings prior to the event, please fill out this form: (link naar form)

*InJazz is part of Bumacultuur – copyrights organisation that also organises events at jazzahead and other networking events.
