This effects the entire process from submitting the form to receiving the form by e-mail. The ability to secure submitted data is offered as an additional feature. This means that it can be purchased in addition to standard subscriptions, while it’s already included in all business subscriptions. Formdesk secures the connection with a 128 bits SSL encryption. SSL (or Secure Socket Layer) is the industrial standard security protocol for safely transmitting data over the internet. This protocol offers data privacy, integrity verification and confidentiality. Your users will notice the lock icon at the bottom of their browser window, indicating the secure connection. To secure the connection to your form, start your link as: httpS://www.formdesk.COM/your_form_folder/your_form_name. Immediately the form will be presented over a secure connection. If you want to be sure that all users fill in your form secure, an option is available that will rerout users that open the form unsecure (http) to the secure version (https).   Formdesk sends a e-mail messages to you and / or the visitor E-mail messages can also be intercepted. Therefore Formdesk offers the ability to send the automatic response as an e-mail attachment. The attachment is encrypted and requires a password to open. This applies to both the autoresponder sent to your respondents and for the e-mail notification sent to yourself. Automatic response by e-mail For the automatic response the password will be generated automatically by Formdesk. You should display this password using the "Message after form submission" option on the Settings tab, section 'Post submission page'. To display the password use the [ _fd_EncryptPassword ] code. This password is necessary to open the response e-mail. This way the password is communicated using the secure connection. E-mail notification The e-mail notification will send the filled-out form as a encrypted ZIP-attachment. Here you can specify the password needed to open the file. Combining this feature with the optional PDF Processor, you can password protect the PDF attachment as well.
